Frequently asked questions

What happens in the first session?

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. There's no pressure to share everything right away. We'll talk about what brings you in and whether we're a good fit. Most people leave feeling relieved they came.

Can I get a consultation first?

Yes, our free 15-minute consultation call is designed to answer that exact question. We'll talk briefly about what you're looking for and match you with the therapist whose specialty and style best fits your needs.

What are your session fees?

Individual sessions are $150 for a 50-minute session. Sliding scale fees are available upon request for clients who qualify. Ask us about this during your free consultation.

How long does therapy take?

There's no one-size-fits-all answer. Some clients find that a few months of focused work meets their goals. Others benefit from longer-term support. We'll discuss your goals and create a plan that makes sense for your situation.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes. Everything you share in therapy is strictly confidential. There are a small number of legal exceptions, including imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, or suspected abuse of a child or vulnerable adult, which your therapist will explain during your first session.

What if I am in crisis?

If you are in immediate danger, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. For mental health crisis support, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), available 24/7.
